About Jamber Acres
Our History
Hello! We're John & Amber Loughrey, a husband and wife team dedicated to growing nutritious, tasty, and chemical free vegetables for our rural mountain community! After moving to Cotopaxi in 2023 we quickly realized that the area was a 'produce desert,' with limited access to fresh, locally grown vegetables. Long story short, we decided to grow them ourselves. Here's a quick breakdown of what we've accomplished so far:
- 2023: Jamber Acres was born! We started with one high tunnel greenhouse, selling through word of mouth and online community pages.
- 2024: Expansion was on the horizon! We started growing in the second greenhouse and became vendors at the Westcliffe Farmers Market. In the fall/winter we starting selling our greens at Sunflower Natural Foods on Main St. in Westcliffe.
- 2025: Growth continued as we incorporated 3,000 square feet of outdoor bed space, secured two booths at the Westcliffe Farmers Market, and proudly became Colorado Proud and Certified Naturally Grown.
- 2026: The future is bright, with plans to expand to over 0.25 acres of cultivated land!
